You flew home to Humboldt Park Chicago called your name I stayed in this little town and here I will remain Is there a way to redesign this map, so your state touches mine Cause distance is unkind We met by the riverside and learned each-others names Oh I wish that you had stayed for more than just three days Is there a way to redesign this map, so your state touches mine Cause distance is unkind Is there a way to redesign this map, so your hand touches mine Cause distance is unkind Cause distance is unkind Cause distance is unkind Cause distance is unkind

I have trouble saying no to your good heart So instead I'll hold it gently in the dark I have trouble saying yes to solitude So instead I'll find a time to meet with you And I know we said goodbye months ago so I'll try not to I'll try not to Meet with you I have trouble letting words escape my mouth To say my heart is going through its longest drought I have trouble even laying here with you I fear you'll learn about the other lover soon And I know we said goodbye months ago so I'll try not to I'll try not to Meet with you but still I do So you'll come over and ask to stay the night Before I answer you turn out the lights And when the morning comes I put up my guard again When the morning comes we return to discontent I'll try not to I'll try not to I'll try not to I'll try not to And I know we said goodbye months ago so I'll try not to I'll try not to Meet with you But still I do Still I do Meet with you

City Lights 03:20
She left in the evening All dressed in white The stars were stinging shivering bright And while the train cars pulled her southbound I hoped her window view was downtown On the city lights Though she's long gone now I feel her here In the bed we laid in and the empty beers And when I closed the door behind her I knew she'd go back to her lover In the city lights The city lights her up like how she used to be When she lived with me But now all she ever sees are her City lights
4.
I took a plane to a place where you can't reach me I thought that I could escape From your hidden intentions But then with my bags in my hands Heading back home I knew that I hadn't planned To be missing you dearly Wishing you could be near me cause You are always halfway in my heart and halfway in the darkness You are always halfway in my heart and halfway to the start of A new goodbye Now that I'm back in New York I'm thinking of you Dragging my feet to your door With my hopes of reunion And I can't refuse them cause You are always halfway in my heart and halfway in the darkness You are always halfway in my heart and halfway to the start Of a new goodbye You are always halfway in my heart and halfway in the darkness You are always Always Always

I leave the latch undone And wait for you to walk on through that door I know that you might not But still I hope you'll walk on through that door That door That door That old window has broken blinds Broken blinds that don't quite reach the floor And through the gap I see Your checkered shoes standing at my door My door My door My door has been opened by many before All of the others tracked dirt on the floor But you I adored Adored Adored That door that door that door I leave the latch undone and wait for you
6.
I am a wandering man I throw ropes to distant lands And walk on them across the sea I am a wandering man I am a travelling man To Saigon from my homeland The people here all stare at me They know I am a travelling man Its starts when I buckle in The pilot tells us how far till we land I read the magazines The wings start to expand To expand Humans such a curious clan With bird wings on metal cans And I can't think of a better time To be a curious man To be a travelling man To be a wandering man

about

During 5 years of on and off travel throughout Asia, and South America, Corry collected sounds of city bustle, rural life in the Amazon rainforest, and the muffled conversations of family and lovers.

In Wandering Man, he spins these snippets of life into songs of love, heartbreak, travel, and hope, while fusing elements of pop, jazz and folk to create a deep, diverse sound.
